Doctor Strange usually cuts an impressive silhouette, and likes to wear a number of layers. His cloak is a muted red, patchwork, with a long upturned collar, and his tunic is dark blue, with a number of wrappings around his forearms and boots. His eyes are pale and vivid, somewhere between green and blue, his stare intense and perceptive, and his hair is black, typically swept back, with two significant grey streaks at both sides. His hands are elegant, but heavily scarred, and typically trembling.

Prior to his accident, Stephen had a massive ego that fueled his career. He only took on patients that would help his status and provide an interest challenge, driven by a desire to control death and time. Still, he would do anything to help a patient recover if he perceived they had a chance, and prioritized his research over his physician work believing that it would save thousands of lives in the future.
Upon being confronted with a world of magic beyond his understanding, he initially refused to believe it until he was forcibly shown the truth.
He's extremely stubborn and determined, which proved useful as both a doctor and a learning sorcerer, but can prove to be a detriment at times as he refuses to let things go, as well as being dangerous for him. He's frequently shown to be the voice of reason to those around him. He became somewhat more humble in his life as a sorcerer, though only slightly, and has a newfound appreciation for expanding his horizons. He's inquisitive, and quite happy to break the rules when it suits him.
As a pacifist, he tries to avoid killing or hurting people, but acknowledges that sometimes those things are necessary, though it gives him extreme guilt. He has a well hidden emotional side that he habitually conceals, and is quite sentimental in his own way. At times, he lets his pride get the better of him, and can easily lose his temper with those around him when he believes he knows best.

Originally a brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon, Strange got into a car accident which resulted in his hands becoming crippled. Once medicine failed him, Strange embarked on a journey to Kamar-Taj, where he was trained by the Ancient One in the ways of Magic and the Multiverse. Although he focused on healing his hands, Strange was drawn into a conflict with Kaecilius and the Zealots, who were working for Dormammu and had sought to merge Earth with the Dark Dimension. Following the demise of the Ancient One and the defeat of Kaecilius, Strange then became the new protector of the Sanctum Sanctorum, seeking to defend the Earth from other inter-dimensional threats.

an AU based on this What If episode. Stephen's partner (your character) is seemingly destined to die in their universe, and a grieving Stephen learns magic to try to go back in time and prevent their death. He tries over and over, but fails each time, and is warned that undoing a fixed point like that could undo reality -- but he hears of a greater power that can do such a thing, and he seeks it out, absorbing countless magical beings to fuel himself, and in doing so, turning himself into an eldritch monstrosity
after centuries, he learns that he is only half of himself. He seeks his other good half, and absorbs him too. Stephen finally has the power to undo his lover's death, but it tears his universe apart, and he begs the Watcher for help, but the entity refuses. His universe collapses. Later, the Watcher asks for his help, and Stephen joins the Guardians of the Multiverse to defeat an Ultron with all six infinity stones. Once he has them contained, his job is to watch over them for the rest of the eternity, lest they break free and threaten the multiverse again. But Stephen can't help himself, and he starts paying visits to another universe, one he finds your character alive in.
Your character can either be an AU, or can be the original MCU version, whichever you prefer!
(Assuming your character is one of the Avengers): Something set post-Avengers, but pre-Doctor Strange. Your character is already a hero, and meets a world famous neurosurgeon who's none too thrilled with the Avenger's antics after having to spend a week straight in the ER saving people who got injured in falling buildings. Despite his ire, he falls for the Avenger, and for a little while it's nearly a typical domestic romance -- until Stephen gets into a car accident, and the events of Doctor Strange start playing out, this time with an Avenger at his side.
Having crash landed on Titan in Infinity War, and fought Thanos, everybody gets dusted aside from Tony and Stephen, and they have to figure out a way to get off that hunk of rock. Salvaging alien ships may not be the most typical date idea, but hey, can't win them all! (Can also work for any character other than Tony who might have followed Stephen onto the ship).
